The South Asian Spelling Bee

Since 2008, the South Asian Spelling Bee has gained national recognition as a platform to promote the academic talents of South Asian American students. The contest is conducted annually across 11 major South Asian hubs in the country in pursuit of the best speller. It is then produced into a multi-part series is broadcast across 120 countries on Sony Entertainment TV Asia, giving sponsors & participants tremendous exposure on a worldwide scale across media platforms.

Now in its fifth season, the Bee has seen tremendous growth with hundreds participating and attending the various events. These are qualified families who focus on education, good values and commitment to the overall development of their children.

Participation is invited from local cities, and parents register their child to take part. From each region the top two spellers are invited for an all expense paid trip at the finals in NJ to vie for the 10k Grand Prize.
